TPM Software Package

The Tellus Project Manager (TPM) is used for programming collar configurations and schedules for the Tellus Basic collars. The TPM software package can also be used for extracting data from the Portable Terminal (RCD-04) to a computer and directly from the collar by cable to a computer.

Specifically, the TPM scheduler is used to set the GPS schedule, VHF beaconing schedule, UHF reporting and SMS/GPRS options. Other parameters including the release mechanism, activity and mortality sensors, download and storage are set using the TPM scheduler.

Depending on user settings, the data string may look like:

Time    = GMT
Svs      = Number of satellites used to obtain the position
DOP    = Figure of position quality related to satellite configuration
Temp   = Temperature inside the collar housing
X,Y      = Level of activity measured in two planes during the positioning

Data download directly from the collar to a computer via UHF is also performed using TPM.
